Law has an important role in
advancement of scientific world. The National
University of Bahrain has included this subject to fulfill
needs of the society for lawyers, jurists and legal experts. The trustees of
the university have passed a resolution number 159 on March 2002. The purpose
of this resolution is to establish the faculty of Law in BOU. Before
establishing this resolution, study of law was limited to a section of business
administration studies.
The concept of the Law faculty and the university has the
same intellectual base, vision and mission. As its formation, the faculty has
followed the philosophy of right, equality , judicature and freedom, which are
the aims that law looks to achieve at the individual level and from an Muslim
view with due regard to the person and the evolution of soul capacities and
powers in a sense that functions the country and the society. The faculty
realizes that education, science, creativeness, conception and development are
crucial and requisite tools for reaching the target of the teaching policy in
the kingdom Bahrain. This is simulated on its law programs and their
technological contents. The faculty's syllabuses will be taught in two parts,
namely private law division or public law division. The faculty devotes high
respect to contain theoretic study and practical analyze. This is obvious in
its teaching techniques, design of the faculty's construction and the rooms
gave for the applicable training (moot courts).
The Law College of the National
University of Bahrain accomplishes its
educational mission by passing its students to act in legislative and
discriminative government, institutions, and the legal sections. It is
furnishing them with legal knowledge and science, and associating the practical
fact to the theoretic study to provide the student to positively alteration and
regulate their societies and to execute their societies' developed and basic
needs. To underwrite in the sustainable expansion, the Law faculty acts a
function in serving the society by merit of its training feeds and seminars
arranged within the model of its continuing education syllabus. The going on
education syllabus aims at attaining the university's policy of receptiveness
to society with entire sectors and originations in order to carry out the
society's demands and requirements and to furnish it with every information,
acquisitions and experiences through courses and programs that are directed and
planned intentionally and carefully. The faculty of law of the National
university of Bahrain has contributed
to develop the legal domain in the kingdom.
